40+2 and scheduled for induction tomorrow so I am past my due date but it is technically elective. (Judge if you must, don’t really care). Just hit me last night that my insurance may not cover it. Anybody have experience with elective induction past your due date and insurance covering it or not. Is there even a way to code the billing of induction medical vs. nonmedical?

I’ve called insurance and they have no idea and say they need CPT codes.🙄 Called the Drs office and had to leave a message for someone who supposedly might know such codes and haven’t gotten a response.🙄🙄

Insurance in the US is such a joke, insurance companies don’t even know their own damn policies.
