Anyone else’s SO do this?

So I have TTC #1 for 3 years now. I have had multiple doctors appointments in that time. My husband has gone to 2 or 3 of them. And one he had to go to because he had to give a sample. Every procedure and surgery I went through my mom had gone with me and my friend came to one of them. Does anyone else’s SO do this or is it just me? Mostly it’s because he works which ok I guess. But I have an appointment coming up and he can’t go because he’s going to a car show. Our next is going to be IUI and he said well if it’s not on a day I have off I can’t go. Ummm yeah you’re gonna have to go. I cant conveniently ovulate on a day you have off.😡😡😡

maybe he is scared? some men don't know how to deal with certain things, I think he feels the pressure of TTC and is just looking for an outlet or something to keep his mind off it. 
my husband has never been to an apt with me, but thats my choice. the doctor I see is an hr away, so I try to make the apt for a day when I'm in town (I work in this city a few days a week) my husband doesn't have a set schedule or shift (he's a police officer so  we don't even make plans) but I know if I asked him to he would. maybe you can ask your husband to be there that it would make you feel supported. and maybe increase your chances of conceiving! good luck!

I’m not buying the ‘we need money’ excuse. Choosing to go to a car show over supporting you is not bringing in money. Has he had to work on every single one of these appointments over the years? I doubt it. There are also paid vacation days that he could use for the most important visits where you feel like you’ll need a lot of support. He’s choosing not to prioritize it. I would be upset 
I would understand you going to a standard appointment alone on a day he works, but i wouldn’t be okay with him just choosing not to go on days off.

You can’t get mad at him even if you want to. He’s probably just thinking outside that you guys are gonna need the money when baby comes and he’s gonna be taking a lot of time off work when this does come

Well have you talked to him about why it’s important to you? I wouldn’t assume he understands. My husband and I are expecting in October and he works a lot and wants to save up all his time off for after baby comes for example, so he’s only been to our two ultrasound appointments and everything else I go to alone or bring my mom—he won’t be coming to anything else until delivery! It’s not a problem for me, but if it were I’d just talk to him about it.
