Endometriosis + HPV : am I becoming crazy?
Hi all, I am 34 years old and I have started my period when I was about 9. Truth be told, my periods have never been a walk in the park, on the contrary. But 5 years ago, it started to get totally out of hand: immense pains, almost incontrolable diarrhea episodes. But the most worrying symptoms are the blood pressures drops, leading to loss of consciousness. Over the course of the past five years, I was admitted several times in the hospital. I cried and begged my GP, my gynecologist and every doctor to find what was wrong with me, and every time I was sent home with a simple "you are a woman, deal with it". I felt like I was crazy. I finally found someone who seems to be listening to me a couple of months back and am now going through several exams and tests. My doctor mentions that it could be a bad case of HPV + Endometriosis. She put me back on the pill to stop my period while we get the exams over with and settle the diagnosis but I am getting more and more scared for this has been going on for a long time and I don't know if too much damage has been done already. Besides the pill has slightly lowered the intensity of the symptoms but I am still getting most of them badly enough. Have any of you been through this? What are the treatment possibilities? Thanks a lot for your input.
