Which should you NOT buy used??

Hey ladies time is ticking and I’m only two months away from seeing my little handsome baby boy. While my baby shower is at the end of this month , there are still many essentials we need before he arrives and I am definitely a bargain

shopper but even I know some things are better off new for health and safety reasons. What are your thoughts ?

I’m weird about mattresses in general so I’d never put my baby on a used mattress. My baby monitor was used and given to me by a friend and my breast pump was actually given to me by my neighbor while I was pregnant when we first moved here. She had barely used it because of complications with breastfeeding but didn’t want it to go to waste (it was a really good one and not cheap! I just sanitized everything and have been using it since my son was born 🤷🏽‍♀️

I’d buy a new mattress & would buy a used pump off of someone I knew. Otherwise I’d buy a new one.

I’ve hard that you can buy used breast pumps but just buy new attachments. The machine itself never sees breast milk so just the tubes can be changed out and you are saving money.

It’s very likely your insurance covers a breast pump for free - give them a call and ask.  I got one plus a supply of bags and I can get more bags every 90 days.

I would never buy a used mattress.
Or car seat.
And I would buy a used breast pump because you can sterilize it properly. You don’t even have to use the same tubing or bottles. You can get replacements for those and it’d be way cheaper than dropping $300 on a brand new one. Get the pump, throw out the used tubing, sanitize or throw out the used bottles, the pump itself isn’t unsanitary.

I would definitely not get a used breast pump. I wouldn't get a baby mattress either they are not expensive

I would never buy a used car seat, it could have been dropped or in an accident and have damage that might not be visible. 
I wouldn’t buy a used mattress because 1 I would never do that for myself so why would I for my baby, and 2 people could have smoked around the mattress and the chemicals left from the smoke increase the risk of SIDS, not to mention the traces of god knows what else in the mattress, skin cells, urine, or or could even have bed bugs or something. 
I would be fine with a used breast pump but I would replace all the tubing and flanges. 
A used baby monitor I can’t think of any reason not to.
