How is everyone getting induced??

My doctor induced me 7years ago with my first on his due date. This time around he says they don’t induce unless they HAVE to.... almost every post I see on here someone’s got an induction date. I’m 38 weeks tomorrow and there’s no sign of baby coming anytime soon. I start maternity leave next week and I’m scared I won’t have enough time to spend with her if she is born late

My doctor will induce after 39 weeks. I did this also due to having a set maternity leave. Just depends on policies I guess.

My midwife won’t let me go past 42 weeks and won’t induce until then, either.

I wish I wasn’t getting induced.... I did with my first on my due date because hubby was deploying and now because of gestational hypertension I am with my second at 37 weeks 3 days tonight

My doctor won’t induce until 41+3. I’m 40 weeks on Saturday. But them women getting induced before 40, most likely have medical issues.

My doctors office refuses to induce anybody before 40 weeks unless it was absolutely necessary. I tried with my first because her dad was coming to visit 2 days after her due date and asked to be induced just Incase she was late and she told me no because it wasn’t medically necessary...

My doctor said I have to be induced as soon as possible after 39 weeks because of gestational diabetes. Kiddo is getting too big and fluids are getting too high.

It varies by doctor. And maybe hospital.  My OB this time said she wouldn’t let me go past 41wks, but would be fine inducing any time after 39wks. 
Turns out the induction schedule at the hospital I s full!  So instead of an induction at 39+5, I’m scheduled for 40+2. Unless he decides to come on his own, which I’m really, really hoping for as I’m OVER this pregnancy.

Depends on your doctor & your pregnancy history. I’ve had many issues this pregnancy including bleeding until I hit month 5 and then having to stop premature labor at 34 weeks. Now baby is measuring big and my amniotic fluid is on the lower side (2.8) so after discussing with my doctor we feel safest is to be induced at 39 weeks (this Friday). He does offer induction to all mothers once they hit 39 weeks though. He’s very old school. Has been an Obgyn since age 30 and is in his late 70s now. I honestly think it just depends on what the doctor feels or how they generally practice. I’m also already 1cm and 50% effaced. I’ve had contractions on and off for 3-4 weeks. So happy to almost have her in my arms.

my doc says 41 weeks unless there is a medical reason to do so beforehand. but I'm hoping I dont go to 41 weeks!! lol I want baby to be healthy but mama is tired!
