So my 12 week appointment is next week. The nurse called to review my medical information and said after that my next appointment prolly won't be until I'm 20 weeks???

I thought you usually have them every 4 weeks?? I hope I heard her wrong because waiting two months instead of 4 weeks after my 12 week appointment next Tuesday scares me. Was anyone else's like this?

Totally normal. And usually the 20 week anatomy scan is your last ultrasound (unless there’s an issue.)

My appointments were every 4 weeks until 28 weeks, then every 2 weeks until 36 then every week until I delivered...I only got two ultrasounds though. I’d ask if that’s correct at your next appointment, that seems like a big gap...in the US though not sure where you are.

Yep! I had one at 13 and didn’t have another one until 21.

Was the call regarding your 12 week ultrasound appt? If so then she was probably saying you’re next ultrasound appt won’t be til 20 weeks which is correct.

Most women have 2 scans and appointments inbetween unless high risk or your doctor allows you to have them more often.

I think it just depends what the protocol is by your doctors office. For me it’s every month up until third trimester

Thats kinda a big gap.. all my appointments were every month at that time , and even when i got my anatomy at 20 weeks the time before that i went at 17 weeks and was told to come back 3 weeks later for it .
