No more ultrasounds?

Hi mamas, I’m a FTM due September 3rd. My last ultrasound was the beginning of May and my doctor told me today that I will not get anymore unless there are concerns. Is this pretty typical? I obviously don’t want there to be any concerns but I’m feeling disappointed that I won’t get to see baby again before birth! I figured there would be one during the third trimester. Thanks for any responses!

You should splurge and get a 3D done during third trimester it was amazing and something I truly treasure

Most doctor do 2 ultrasound unless you’re high risk, so it’s very normal,

You usually only get two. The first one to date the pregnancy and then the anatomy scan. I’ve paid for a couple out of pocket at ultrasound places and it was worth it to me

Because my pregnancy needs closer monitoring I’m at 29 weeks and had a 6 week dating U/S, 12 week routine, 20 week anatomical, 28 week growth check, and then at 30, 32, 34, 36 and 37. Those are the ones I have booked. It may change and this is absolutely NOT the norm. My friends have gotten 12 and 20 with healthy pregnancies. That’s it!
Point is if you hear about other people getting more ultrasounds there’s likely a specific reason tailored to them. Most people don’t get an ultrasound in the third trimester unless your doc wants to check positioning of the baby before labour at 36+.

Yep completely normal last ultrasound is 20 weeks one you can always pay private for more I’m gonna get a 3D when I’m further along

Ours does one at 20 weeks and then a complimentary 3D at 28 weeks... before 28 weeks they do them if there are concerns or for dating... possibly they do one at 12 weeks but I can’t remember. I’d definitely pay for a private scan!

I had 4 done due to a issue she had with her heart that later resolved itself and being high risk because of  3 miscarriages

I get one every 4 weeks, but maybe that’s because I’m having twins... 🤔

I had one at 30 weeks but it was because they needed to check on the placenta. Otherwise 20 weeks would have been my last!
