I have someone who is currently receiving bcg treatment for bladder cancer who wants to come and see my 11 month old and me currently pregnant before I have my baby next week. I have ready made it clear that once the little one gets here it's gonna be awhile before I am ready to have people over. this is where they insert a catheter and then place the medicine into the bladder. from my research...the lovely Dr Google says that it's a type of "live vaccine" where at least 6 hours after they have to bleach the toilet if they pee. with chemo it works be an absolute no no for her to be over but I have honestly never heard of this drug and I'm curious if anyone here has. I plan to call my doc tomorrow and see what she has to say about it and if it's a no no for her to be around me and my little guy or not. any thoughts? anyone ever dealt with this before?
