Can my doctor tell my mom???

So yesterday I went for a physical and my doctor asked me if I was sexually active I said yes but that was in the past at the moment right now I’m not . CAN SHE TELL MY MOM I’m only 17 and she said she wanted to do some test results to see if I have any sexual transmitted diseases and for any risks of anemia. Please help !!

I don’t know how it works in every state, but in Texas the age of consent is 17, meaning if you tell your doctor not to tell your parents, she legally can’t- but another person was right, it will show up on bills/ insurance!

She can’t tell your mom but your mom will be getting the bill so.. she’ll know what you got tested for.

Legally they can't tell anyone. However, if you live in the U.S. with private insurance she will likely get the bill for any labwork. You should talk to her and discuss getting on birth control. I'm sure your mom would only want you to be safe and protected.
