Just another baby name post

Ive always wanted to name my daughter Leilani.. now I’m having a baby girl and my husband loves the name.

My stepdaughter isn’t feeling it because we aren’t Hawaiian.

But before we met my husband and I both lived in Hawaii on base at the same time without even knowing it so it is kind of special to us.. and our song is Lava

I want her to be on board with the name because we are very close and I get where she is coming from...

does it really matter if we give her a Hawaiian name without being Hawaiian?
