Baby Shower for 2nd Baby?

This will be my second child, but with a different Father then my first. Not sure if a Baby Shower for a second baby is common these days or not.

Typically not, unless a lot of time has passed since you had your first baby. I did have a friend who just had a sprinkle for her third, as it is a boy and she has 2 girls... but she only invited her close friends so it was more of a little celebration get together with a few gifts.

Every baby deserves to be celebrated! You can have a diaper shower or don't register for gifts. ;)

I threw one of my besties a sprinkle for her second baby and it was a lot of fun! It was co-ed with kids invited as I wanted to include her first kiddo and partner... everyone had a blast.

My family has always done them for every baby. They’re smaller and less elaborate for subsequent babies but still celebrating each baby. I won’t have one if we have another but only because I hate baby showers. I’d literally rather pay for everything than sit through a party and I usually send a very nice gift and don’t attend. But you do what you want to! I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it, but if you already have most of the stuff, consider doing a diaper party instead!
