When to take out newborn

Around what age did you take your newborn out on walks/shopping trips with you?? How many days/weeks/months

We went home day after her birth (10 hours after). I went for a walk with her three days after her birth. I never stopped taking her places after that.

as soon as I felt up to it! I'm the kind of person that doesn't liked to be stuck at home all day

My baby was 4 days old when we went to the store (her car seat was covered)- we had to get on with things! 😅

Baby got released from the hospital the day after being born and the very next day we had to go back to the hospital due to some misunderstandings between the staff and I. He’s been out since. I think he was like 2/3 months when I first took him to a mall.

Once baby was like a week old I started going out to eat, to the store, ect. I was going crazy at home. I never let anyone near him though.

Walks are fine, it’s more public places with lots of people that would be the most concerning as far as germs go. Keep them covered or in a baby carrier to keep people from grabbing at the baby or wanting to hold him.

3 days old for us. We stopped at the grocery store to pick up my pain meds (c section) and got some ready made foods for the house. The car seat was covered. One person tried to touch my daughters foot and i politely asked her not to because she was a newborn.

When I felt up to going out. Did stop at my bosses' (chiropractors) house for an adjustment on my way home from the hospital.
