How much does your 2 week old eat?

My 2 week 4 day old baby eats 3 oz of formula every 4 hours. I spoke to a lactation expert and was told that she's eating too much. How much does your infant eat?

I think it depends on the baby’s weight and if they are keeping down what they’ve eaten. My baby was born almost 9lbs and has eaten quite a bit since he was born. Don’t worry about overfeeding as long as the baby is keeping it down. If there is large amounts of spit up after each feeding then I would say yes it’s too much, but if baby tolerates it and seems hungry then feed him.

Also your baby will let you know if they are full. My daughter will clench her mouth shut or spit the nipple out when she has had enough!

My baby girl is 2 weeks and 2 days old and she is Eating 3 or 3.5 oz every 3 to 4 hours. She keeps it down and is hungry when she eats and often seems like she wants more. She was 8lb 8oz when born
