When are you going on maternity leave?

So I am due November 2nd with our first child. My husband and I have been talking about when I am going to go on maternity leave. I currently work full time while taking 15 credit hours at a university. I have already contacted my professors for the fall semester and informed them about what is going on. They’re all very understanding, and have agreed to let me finish my homework early so that it doesn’t interfere when baby girl is born. But, I’m thinking about making my last day of work October 22nd, so that I can make sure I have all my work done before I go into labor. I don’t want to be stressed out. Is this a good time to leave?

I’m only going to be taking 8 weeks off 😭 and it is all unpaid, so i want to have the entire time with my son. I will work until i go into labor!

work right up until my due date. I want all of my maternity leave to be with my baby before I return to work.

I started mine the day I gave birth with my first and I plan on doing the same this time. I only get 12 weeks so I want all of it to be with the baby.

Depends are you planning on returning to work? Do you qualify for maternity leave? How much time can you take off?
I’m already a stay at home mom so I don’t have to figure it out this time, but with my first I stopped working a month before my due date. I only did this because I had no intention of returning to work. If I was taking leave I would want to maximize my time off after baby arrives. If I was taking off 6 months to a year I would probably leave 1 or 2 weeks before due date, if I was taking 12 weeks or less I would have worked up until I went into labor.

I’m due nov 15 and I plan on taking off starting nov 1. I live about 45 minutes from work so I’m thinking I’m really not gonna wanna make that drive being that far along haha plus I have vacation and sick time saved so I’ll still be getting at least some money coming in

I’m due November 15th and depending on where I’m at dilation wise I’ll take off 13th until I give birth. I worry because I work over an hr away from my house and hospital I’m delivering at and don’t want my water to break while I’m at work and then have to drive myself! 😳😳

I’m waiting until November 9th my inducing date unless the baby comes on her own before that then obviously I’ll take off earlier I’m due November 2nd but dr said I’ll most likely have to be induced I have an unpaid maternity leave so I need to work until I can’t because I’m staying off till January when school starts back up I work at my college

I’m due November 14 and am an assistant manager in a children’s clothing store. I only get 12 weeks maternity leave and I’m going to work until I go into labor. Hopefully this baby will come on time.

I’m due 11/4 and am fully prepared for my water to break at work. Hahahahaha

I was forced on bed rest two weeks before due date do to hypertension. I had planned on going until my due date and with my second pregnancy I plan to work until the 16th of November. due date is 12 nov by period date but 12 week ultrasound showed the 16th as due date....   many things can happen before then that will force me to take off earlier if necessary
