TRIGGER WARNING. Do transgender males and females perpetuate gender stereotypes?

Okay, so before anyone goes on the defense, this was a topic that was brought up to me recently. I consider myself an ally of the LGBTQ+ community, and when I mentioned how I resent gender stereotyping to someone recently, they started talking about gender stereotypes and how transgender individuals in a way perpetuate those stereotypes.

I always felt as though gender stereotypes are what cause grief amongst the community, and they’re the reason many suffer with embracing their own identity.

Many of my friends have not embraced who they are because they worry about reactions of society based on the “norms” within it in relation to gender. Which, I find unfair.

Sex and Gender are not unanimous, correct?

So, is being transgender only furthering this idea that there is in fact a correlation between sex with gender?

Is “gender” a dangerous and unfair notion?

Please don’t attack me, I’m only bringing a controversy here to be discussed in a civil manner. I am not throwing out my stance on the matter, and I hope that no transphobics take this as an opportunity to attack innocent people. Please, be mindful of the words you say. ❤️
