Pls let there be a Plan B Alternative

I'm grown, 37 years old to be exact so pls don't lecture me for my actions as I will take full responsibility if the time comes. When I woke this morning I had a flash back to my boyfriend telling me yesterday that he loves me and wants to get me pregnant. We were both drinking so most of the conversation we had is fuzzy. I ran out the door and got a plan b from CVS. Yes we had unprotected drunk sex last night in the heat of the moment, and he tried for pregnancy as he promised. Do you ladies have any other tips to prevent conception??? Should I douch the baby batter?? Please share tips! I'm desperate!

Afternoon Update: Thank you lots for the info, desperate times occasionally call for desperate measures. Havent been thorough this in years. I am ovulating, we were ttc.Plan B taken with fingers crossed now. For those who care I woke up in a reality check this morning still processing that his single 73 yr old mother who is 10 states away was diagnosed with a brain tumor and breast cancer 2 days ago. We are not ready to juggle that and a baby.He thinks we can handle this but I disagree. Yes I said baby batter, Im 37, no kids, go ahead and judge girlfriend if that's what you do.
