Can my friend go to Canada??

Hello everyone! I have an important question! Fellow Canadians I hope you can answer or anyone who knows.
So me and my friend are planning to go to Canada Vermont and Quebec ....
But he read online that he can be denied entry because he has a felony on his record from 2012. 
And he wants to know because he’s worried he won’t be able to go?
Or is there a place he can call and ask for more information?

Are you guys flying or driving?
There really isn’t an easy answer to your question. It will really depend on who your immigration officer is at the border or customs. They have the right to deny entry to any person who has a felony. They may not, assuming there’s no red flags and your friend isn’t causing any issues. But even for no reason at all they could turn you around. There’s really no way to know for sure. 
I’m not sure if you could find someone to call, maybe google Canada customs / border patrol and see if there’s a way to contact someone. 
But just remember it is the law that they CAN be refused entry because of this. So you need to decide if you want to take your chances.
