He almost hit me

So me and my dad's relationship have been pretty rough we used to fight a lot and nothing more thang had been ok until tonight We I when to brush my teeth before going to bed I noticed his dog had chewed my band shoe I called her a bad dog and smackee her on the but with the shoe and then my dad ran right out of his room and he almost slapped me if I hadn't fallen backwards he would have slapped me (keep in mind he is 4 times the size of me ) then he looked at me and the look on his face was the scariest thing I've seen (and I've been thought a school shooting) and I'm just really freaked out Idj what to do
