Why are people trying to induce themselves before they're even due? I get that your uncomfortable but damn, babies come when they're ready! Relax while you still can!🤔 In the end there's really nothing you can do to put yourself into labor if your body & baby aren't ready.

I get “why” people would want to do it. But pitocin really sucks, and my induction “failed” and led to a c-section which is a possibility, so, I also vote for not inducing with pitocin if possible. Of course, using a breast pump for nipple stimulation, or sex, or pineapple or whatever else (other than castor oil) go for it.

Depends if your getting induced 39+ weeks it don’t really matter that’s technically full term & I think any time before that’s it’s for a medical reason. I’m getting induced in 13 days finally!

Girl, I’ve been noticing the same thing. I think what it is is that Doctors are loosely saying 37w is full term and allowing moms to give birth earlier and earlier. Like let nature take its course. I read one story where a mom was legit mad because she was 37w and her doc wanted to wait til 39 to even think about induction. She was saying something like her birthday was her due date and she wanted to have the baby on another specific day and still be able to go to a wedding. I’m like..........Really? That’s dumb.

I am trying to do anything I can to get this baby to come out with natural methods, because if I make it to my due date they will induce me medical and I don’t really want that. I understand the reason they want to which is why I agreed, they wanted to do it at 39 weeks tho and I said no. The doctor said there is medical evidence that it is safer to induced at 39 than after 40. So I figure at 40 is better than after especially with a big baby.

I just did things naturally. I was 37 weeks and I felt like my body couldn't handle it anymore. The day before my water decided to leak I walked at a festival, swim and had sex. That Sunday morning I woke up to what I thought was my water leaking. I didn't go to the hospital until later that day when they had to induce me. I had her 33 hours after my water broke.
