NEED ADVICE baby boy won’t sleep on his back

Sam

So my son will be 2 months old on the 17th of June. We spent five days in the hospital due to a bad case of jaundice. During that time he had to be swaddled with the LED blanket and did not want to sleep on his back. He slept in our arms, propped in the hoppy. When we finally came home he had some severe congestion and rough breathing which sent us into the ER for them to do a vacuum of his nasal passages with saline. I ended up having to sleep sitting up with him on my chest so he could breath. After this he would only sleep with me or on his stomach. He cannot roll over yet so I have been staying up all night to watch him so he doesn’t suffocate. When I go to bed he’s with me. I wanted him used to sleeping at night alone. I have to go back to work at the end of the month and the only way for my son to sleep alone is on his stomach in his pack n play. Otherwise he sleeps with me and my fiancé. He’s to young to cry it out and I didn’t want him to sleep unsupervised due to doctors saying they shouldn’t sleep on their stomach until they roll over. Any advice? This wasn’t my plan.
