In need of Interstitial cystitis info!!

I recently was diagnosed with IC and I am starting to think it’s a misdiagnosis. I went in for surgery thinking it was endometriosis because sex is excruciatingly painful, but it ended up being IC. It is heavily controlled by diet and I cannot have anything acidic. I never had issues with my bladder until after the surgery and since I’ve started medication. I don’t notice flares after eating trigger foods either. Could it be something else? Or it is just wishful thinking?😓
