Thought on 18 hour semester?

First semester of freshman year I took 17 hours (the 2 credit class was a freshman success class, easy pass), second semester I took 12. 
What has been your experience with taking 18 credit courses?

It depends on the classes. Do that as an engineer? Good luck. Communication major? Easy to do. It's all relative honestly.

Depends on you. I did 19 last semester, was in 3 clubs, worked 5 hours a week, and made Dean’s List, but I got very little sleep.  I know someone who did 15 last semester, worked 8 hours a week, and got enough sleep, but never socialized and just barely passed their classes. If you think you can handle it—and there are some fun classes in your schedule to take some of the heat off—totally do it. Otherwise, take it easy. Good luck! 😊

Depends on the classes. If it were all gen Ed’s I couldn’t do it. But with 4 out of 6 classes being my major, it’s alright. Saying that, I will point out I am a social work major.

I did it as a nursing major with 2 jobs and came out with a 4.0. I’m incredibly intelligent though, and a really good test taker and I have a photographic memory which helps. Not everyone is the same. My sister can’t even do part time (10 credits) with a part time job and pass.

I've only taken 19+ credit hours, as an engineering major. Next semester is 21. You can do It, but you need to learn how to time manage and set priorities

Yes it depends but also you know yourself better. Do you know that you’re accountable to study all the classes? And the workload that comes with? 
But I’ve also been going up and down with my credits because sooo many of the classes i need are closed up. I’m trying to take at least 16-18 credits so I can graduate on time but so far that’s not happening 😪😪

Did it, hated myself for it but it was what needed to be done for me to get my credits. I had a good mix of my gen ed and core classes so it wasn't too bad the one thing was as a bio major my core classes had labs that took up large chunks of time so that kept me from having all the time I needed some weeks. As many others are saying it depends entirely on the classes (and in my experience too the teachers since they're the ones deciding just how intense a schedule the class follows).

I've done 18 or 19 credits every semester as a double major with music and history and an honors curriculum. Loads of reading, writing, and scheduled rehearsals (including opera pits and lessons and practicing). I'm surviving! It's hard, but if you plan your time well, it's manageable! And you can still have a social life. :)

I did it while working two jobs at 50 hours a week. Ended going on anti anxiety mess and having to quit one of the jobs but it was fine once I was down to working only 30 hours.
Of course... I had no social life.

I did 18 hours, 3 labs, and had a full-time job. It can definitely be done, but I wish I didn't have to work so much while I'm in school.
