food money

how much should a married couple spend on food per month? I got married last Aug. My husband says we set the world record for eating out lol (he's not being mean, he's just saying). We eat out every to every other day. Most of the times we share a meal and still have left overs! We eat at diners, chains, fast food, ect. when I do cook it almost seems like I'm spending more $. but we do like to be healthy so we do green smoothies at home and overnight oats for breakfast. I can cook but feel like it's so time consuming. I cooked 3 meals this week and am feeling proud. just wondering what everyone spends!
