Possible miscarriage? 9weeks but measuring 5

Has anyone had this before? Had my first ultrasound today  I’m supposed to be 9weeks tomorrow based on my calculations but I’m measuring only 5 weeks 3 days :(. I’ve had mild pregnancy symptoms and no bleeding yet. Anyone have any similar experiences? Thanks for the help. Midwife says my body may just not know to miscarry yet. :( (BTW, I got my BFP May 12, Thats 4 weeks ago, but last period was April 13)

Hi how did you get on? I’m in this situation now should be 9 weeks 3 days but only measuring at 6 weeks and could only see the sac going back tomorrow

Unfortunately I did. Happened to me once and it was a chemical pregnancy. Went in for my first ultrasound was supposed to be 6 weeks but only measured 4 weeks then doctor wanted me to come in 3 weeks to do another ultrasound. When I did come back baby stopped growing at 6 weeks and I was supposed to be 9 weeks. He said that my body isn’t registering that the baby passed which is why I wasn’t bleeding. Had to get a D&C; done. Praying for a different outcome for you best wishes!
