Help or advice?

I got nexplanon a little less than a month or so ago and I started my period a week or 2 ago and it won’t stop. I’m beginning to get scared. I’m only 97.5-98 pounds and I’m 16 about to be 17. (I eat a lot but never gain much of any weight) what should I do to make it stop?

I hated Nexplanon. I literally bled for 6 months straight. It was excellent birth control because i couldn’t even have sex due to the bleeding. My doctor kept telling me to keep waiting for the bleeding to stop, and, finally, i broke down and sobbed and made them remove it.

It’s totally fine. Calm down. I’m just concerned that you’re 98 pounds at 16. How tall are you?

Most common side effect is irregular bleeding. It can lengthen, shorten or even stop your period all together. It may take 6 months for your body to get used to the hormones. If your bleeding prolongs and/or worsens then it's recommended you see your doctor so they can help you regulate the bleeding.

this is normal. calm down. sadly this happens a lot and it can go on for days, weeks, and even months. if it doesn't stop you might need to take magnesium.
