If he was similar to me he would probably be laid back and think the same thing long the lines of “if she liked me she would chase me” and we would probably never chase each other and nothing would happen. 
I’ll stick to the opposites attract thing, there would probably be more exciting stuff in that kind of relationship

My bf and I are very similar. I've dated guys in the past that were the complete opposite and we just always ended up fighting cause we were so different. But for the most part my bf and I think alike, like the the same thing, are very much the same people and I love it. it makes our relationship so much easier.

It depends. I’m an introvert and my husband is an extrovert. He keeps things fun and lighthearted, gets me to go out and experience things. While my seriousness keeps him focused and motivated on the important things too. We balance each other out, however we both enjoy the same music, tv shows and food. So while we are opposite we are also similar. I wouldn’t want to be with someone just like me or not like me at all.

My husband and I are very similar, it’s nice because we usually have the same mindset, agree on most things, enjoy common interests, can tell how the other one is thinking/feeling in most cases, ect 
I’m glad I found someone similar, with my personality I don’t think finding someone opposite would work
