Best birth control for preventing cysts

Hi eve family,

A few months ago I went to the ER to have 2 massive cysts removed from my ovaries. The left cyst was the size of a softball, the right cyst was the size of a baseball but it had twisted. I lost blood supply to my right ovary and it died.

SOOOO now I only have one ovary. I am close to getting engaged (we are waiting on sex till marriage) but I need to start birth control soon to prevent more cysts from forming. I have my first gynecologist appointment on Friday and tbh I’m really scared.

I am 22 and I could use some help, guidance, and advice when it comes to my first birth control experience.
