I’m going to be co parenting with my ex fiancé. My aunt who is throwing the shower thinks we shouldn’t invite his family. I think we should. What do you think?

It’s about the baby. Not you or him or anyone’s families. Even if you are separated you are still adding to each a member to the family I say invite them. Celebrate and have fun put all differences aside for the baby.

I invited my daughters family on her dads side to every birthday, every christmas, every halloween. If you are truly coparenting, they will still be as much your family as the babies. I still 14 years later know that if I need anything I can call any member of his family and they will be there, best decision I ever made was to involve them no matter my relationship with my baby daddy.

I think that should be your decision and if you want to invite his family speak to your ex about it first just in case his family is throwing him his own party and to make sure he’s comfortable with it.

If you want to be successful at co parenting I think this is a good place to set the tone. You want everyone who will be involved and loving on this baby to coexist. I would definitely invite them and start now so you are all more comfortable later. It’s all about the new life
