Do people even talk to their doctors anymore?

Clearly you saw a doctor if you know your HGC levels. Why not ask them if you have any questions or concerns? We don’t know if your levels are normal.. I just see stuff posted here all of the time and it’s like 😐 we aren’t doctors. Go ask your doctor

I am very lucky, we get emailed our results. If I’m nervous or have questions I email or call my dr. If my dr can’t get to the email a nurse usually calls within an hour and will try to explain and my dr still gets back to me after the nurse.

I loved my ob. Never knew hcg levels because I found the ob after getting positive tests at an on base hospital

I get so frustrated seeing posts like that! Happens all the time, someone says ‘my dr said this or that, what does that mean?’  Isn’t it obvious that if your dr says something that you don’t understand, you ask them to explain?
I completely understand forgetting questions you were going to ask, but some of the things people are ask here are about pretty serious stuff!

My doctors have never made me comfortable enough to ask questions. I’ve been to almost every doctor near me that takes my insurance. They are all shitty 😩 so some people just aren’t lucky enough to have a doctor they can ask questions. I’m 33 weeks pregnant and my OB is shit.

There’s A LOT of things ppl don’t ask their doctors about.. even if they were just at the doctors lol like why didn’t you ask? You just pretend to know what they’re talking about instead of asking?? 🤣

a lot of times they don't get the results til they're home. my blood tests are always after my appointments so if I have questions I have to wait til my next doctor's appointment. And it can be hard waiting sometimes.
