Me and my partner have been together for 4 years now. I’m 23 and he is 34. He wants kids one day and so do I. I always pictured myself having kids at like 27/28 years old but my partner being older wants a kid now. We both work in restaurants and want to open our own soon so have been saving like crazy. I know that if I was to get pregnant now he’d be over the moon but that it would put our restaurant plans behind. But the more I think about it the more I realise we could wait to buy our dream restaurant and have a baby first.

I feel ready other than wondering about how our life plans will change. But I know it would work. I love my partner and I want a kid and I know he doesn’t want to wait as he worries he’s getting to old.

Kids are expensive and we have the money there. I just don’t know if I’m willingly to give up my career plans already
