What is this?

My baby keeps getting nasty, red rashes on her arms and legs. We’ve brought this up to the pedi at her four month appointment but he didn’t seem concerned. It’s still there two weeks later and seems worse. He might not be concerned, but I’m concerned. What is this?

My baby gets those types of red, bumpy patches in the same areas. I don’t believe it’s eczema, but dry patches. I have to put lotion on her after every bath because the soaps and water are just too drying for her skin. It takes over a week for them to go away once it’s popped up. It drives me crazy, but she’s not bothered by it at all.

Those are really common places for eczema to pop up. Both my husband and I have it so we just automatically used aveeno baby for the twins.

Sensitive skin?

I have had excema since I was a baby newborn. That is what I think it looks like.  I could also be hand foot and mouth if it looks or feels scaly

Looks like an allergy. Maybe to the laundry detergent, soap, perfumes you wear, animals

my son gets that, and his doctor told me it was eczema.

My son had a similar rash when he was smaller, I changed to a extra sensitive Body wash (for myself and him) and put aveeno eczema cream on it. If I didn’t have the eczema cream on it I put breast milk on it.

I don’t believe you need a new doctor like some are saying... It’s probably just heat rash or sensitive skin, or even some kind of teething rash. Our toddler had something similar and our doctor prescribed us an ointment, Betaderm, and it cleared up within a week. and when she gets random rashes we just put a bit of our Zincofax cream on them and they clear up overnight.
