Okay so my period usually comes at the very end of the month and goes over into the beginning of the next. At the end of April my period was late and my boyfriend even made a comment about it. Anyways, I ended up getting my period around mid-May and it was lighter than usual. It lasted about 4 days and I didn’t think much of it. So then this month, June, I got my period mid-month again and it was light about 4 days long. I guess I’m just concerned about why it would suddenly change and if this has happened to anyone else.

Your menstrual cycle can change at any time. When I was a teenager my cycle was 28 days on point to the hour. In my 20s it switches. I can have a 30 day cycle of 40+ day cycle. Never know what’s next for me.

Your period is dictated by when you ovulate. If you ovulate later in any one cycle then your period will also be later. Ovulation can be affected by many things... stress, illness, change in sleep routine, change in diet, new home/job/school, traveling .. to name a few. 
If you're actively trying to conceive then it might be an idea to start using opk's as a good starting point - these will indicate when your body is producing the hormone which triggers ovulation and therefore give you a good idea of when to have sex to maximize your chances.
If you want to also confirm and pinpoint your actual ovulation day then you can do bbt charting to confirm the ovulation day.
