Bfs going to college

So I’ve been w my bf for 9 months. I’m so in love and we have a great relationship. I’m 16 (still have 2 years left of hs) he’s starting college after the summer and he is going to a community college so he’s staying at home. I’m getting worried about by relationship because my family says him going to college is going to test our relationship together and my moms made comments like he’s gonna find himself a college girl. Them saying this is making me doubt my relationship w him like after he starts college there’s no hope for him and I to stay together. Him and I have talked about it and we think it’ll be fine but I can’t help but get worried now. Thoughts? Does anyone have experience w this?
