Losing weight while pregnant?

Victoria 💙🎀

So I’m 25, 5’7” and started out TTC at 230 pounds... (overweight). I went on a diet and lost 10 pounds the same month I conceived. Now that I’m pregnant, 18 weeks today, I’ve lost 12 more pounds. (NOT DIETING)

At first it was because of nausea. Now it’s a constant feeling of being full, even when I’m starving I’m only able to eat a small portion of anything.

I mean I’m still considered overweight at 208 but does anyone know if this is safe or normal?

I started out at 145 before finding out I was pregnant. I’m now 12 weeks along and down to 122. :( I’m going to ask my doctor about it because it’s got me really worried. I don’t like it.

As long as baby isn’t measuring behind, it shouldn’t be a concern. Just make sure you’re getting your daily vitamins and make sure baby is on track for growth at your level two scan. If the doctor isn’t concerned with baby’s size, you’re good.

Fingers crossed for you! I responded because I know how crazy this weight issue can be and Im here for support! I started at 193, dropped to 149 by 17 weeks from extreme HG and have only put back on 20 lbs from being rehydrated in the hospital. I havent gained since then (now 25 weeks) and my baby girl's weight is just under average but I got diagnosed with intrauterine growth restriction at my 20 week scan. Im confident you and baby will be okay but if you need a friend after your scan, I'll be here. 😊
