Why do people say this??

Why do people always say some variation of “sleep as much as you can because you’ll never sleep again”
It makes no sense to me because it’s not like I can sleep a whole bunch now and put it into a sleep jar that I can crack into when my babies are keeping me up all night 🙄

It just means don’t take for granted the fact that you’re ale to sleep through the night right now. I sleep like a baby. I can sleep until 1pm when pregnant lol. I’m loving it bc I’m well rested all the time. I know I’m October I’ll be a walking zombie again

lol I ask the same thing. no matter how much sleep we get now it's not going to make a difference when the baby gets hear lol. my sister told me that once so towards the end of my pregnancy I slept a lot. but then when baby got hear, the sleep I got before baby was hear did not help me at all. looking back now i was so stupid for believing her. I'm having my second in oct. but it is funny like especially if the people that are saying it have kids. like you know it dont work that way lol.

Use to dive me nuts when I was pregnant with my first! Like have you even been 8 months pregnant?! I could never get comfortable let alone as soon as I did I’d have to pee! I’m on my second pregnancy and haven’t had anyone say it to me. Makes no sense to say in the first place like 🙄😂..

My son had reflux and I had very, very little sleep to the point I was actually sick in the stomach. He’d be up every hour on the hour for the first two months. He’s 9 months now and still wakes twice each night and is very difficult to get back to sleep. I had the easiest pregnancy, easiest labor, but I’m stalling on having baby #2 simply because I can’t handle the not sleeping issue again. A lot of women I know had baby’s sleep through the night from the beginning. I don’t know what I did to get one of these sleepless angels but all I can say is his sibling better be the best sleeper or I’m going to think I’m cursed 🙃 May the odds be in your favor!

Exactly haha like ooh surprise, newborns prevent you from sleeping consistently. Totally didn’t know that, thanks for telling me and incessantly repeating it
