Naming baby after his dad?

Okay you have to read first lol. So I’m almost 14 weeks along, we’ll find out the gender at 20 weeks. But we are really trying to pick out names for both genders, and we’ve really had no luck. Neither of us have both heard a name and thought “that’s a real option”.

So my boyfriends name is Gregory Scott, technically Gregory Jr. His dads name is also Gregory Scott. I love the name, and I told him I’d be open to naming a boy Gregory. But I worry about CONFUSION. Everyone calls his dad Greg, and 99% of people call my boyfriend either Greg or little G. I’m one of maybe five people who calls him Gregory.

Should we just avoid it and wait for a good boy name to come along or keep it as an option?
