STI tests

Hey! So I’m planning on having sex with my boyfriend soon (in about 2 months). We’re both 20 & I asked him to get tested since he’s had other partners. He said he had a blood test done 2 months ago, & it came out fine, but my question is: if he got tested 4 months before the time we have sex, should he even take one? Especially if he hasn’t been active with anyone else?

(I’ll prob tell him to as a precaution)
