Should I Throw the Potato?

Here’s the thing. I’m 14, I’m young, and even worse, I’m in high school. That means, whatever I do probably won’t last. But I feel like I still have to try. There’s this girl I’ve known for about 2 years. Her name is Tod. We have this relationship where we flirt with each other all the time, and it’s almost like we practice pick up lines? Anyway, I think I might really like her? She’s gay and I’m bi by the way, so that’s that. I CAN’T TELL IF SHE LIKES ME THOUGH. I’m getting a lot of hints, but I’m not certain. We’re the same age, except I’m going into 10th grade and she’s going into 9th. Any advice? Right now, I’m thinking I might carve “wanna melt elementary crayons with me sometime?” into a potato, throw it at her, and run. If it sounds confusing, it is, it’s an inside joke that translates to date. I’m terrified however because we have an amazing friendship and I really don’t want to mess that up.
