My husband and I own a house on 1.28 acres in a culdesac. Several of the houses around us have privacy fences. You’d think they’d just let their dogs run in the fenced area, right? Wrong. We’ve been having problems with dogs on our property lately. Tonight was the icing on the cake. My husband was in our garden and a dog from the house behind us ran through a hole In the guy’s fence and charged at him, hair standing up and growling.

My husband confronted our neighbor in a nice way at first, by asking if he knew there was a hole in his fence. The neighbor said he did, and shrugged it off when my husband told him what the dog had done. My husband told him next time his dog came on our property, he’d do whatever he had to. I’m 33 weeks pregnant, so I definitely don’t need stray dogs charging at me. We love animals, but we keep our dog in the fenced in area of our yard at all times.

It baffles me that others don’t. We have dog poop all in our yard that isn’t from our dog. It’s ridiculous, and it makes me nervous to let our son play outside when he gets old enough. Anyone else in the same boat? What did you finally have to do?
