I have a Tattoo on my forearm of my ex husbands name, which also hapoens to be the name of our son who passed away. Well I always believed that I'd never cover up a tattoo cause it had meaning at the time but, my new man doesn't like it. Cover it??

When you originally got the tattoo was it for your ex or was it because of your son? If it was for your ex (before your son) then I think its ok that you cover it up.

I can’t vote. It’s your son’s name too. However, there are incredible coverup artists out there can could probably do something very amazing and still have it incorporate your son’s name. Make it different, but the same. :)

It depends how YOU feel about it. If it has meaning to you because of your son I wouldn’t remove it, but if was done for your ex and it doesn’t have meaning to you.... it’s still up to you😊

You should decide based on your preference!! One random thought though: if you want to keep it but want it to be specific to you son, perhaps you could add to it (like a date or a halo or something?).

Personally it's up to you. If you don't want to cover it, don't, especially for someone else. He's a new boyfriend so making more permanent marks on your body for someone else just doesn't seem like a good idea. He should have enough confidence to deal with the tattoo I feel.
