What do y’all think

Last night my bf and I went to a country concert. It was super hot and we were waiting around awhile since the main singer wasn’t on until 8 (we were there since 4). When we got there he got two beers. I had a few sips since I’m not a huge beer drinker but it was hot and I was thirsty and just wanted to have fun. I then practically begged to get something to eat since I was starving by 6 which was ridiculous but we split a sandwich and got a water. Then right before 7 I asked him to give me my credit card and Id (in his wallet since purses weren’t allowed) so I could grab a beer for the concert. He legit was arguing with me over this for 30 minutes plus. It wasn’t like I was asking him to buy it or drink it since I was going to have it. Finally after arguing with him to give me my credit card I was able to get in a super long line for the atm since they only took cash then had to get on the line for beer. If we went before the intermission like I wanted it wouldn’t have been as long. But like why was he like this. I wasn’t driving home, didn’t have anything to drink prior, wanted to have a good time and enjoy a beer and he legit treated me like a child. Like I guess it was a lesson I should have had my own cash but at the same time he had cash on him that he could have said here use this instead of me waiting alone on line. I just don’t get it... we have been dating for 4 years like shouldn’t we both spot each other when needed? I didn’t mind him not giving me cash when he had it but am more bothered that he was arguing with me that I couldn’t get a beer when I am of age and a very vey responsible person. Sidenot he never had an issue with me having a drink before and the two beers he had about 5 hours earlier would have no impact on his driving. I just don’t get it. I felt.
