Students taking blood and pregnant?

So I’m in school and we take each others blood, almost everyday (the 4 days a week i go) I’m having my blood drawn by students atleast twice a day. We’re extremely new to this. I’m 13 weeks pregnant, is it safe to be doing this? My teacher didn’t seem concerned but i don’t know

Yeah so I thought this was some new freaky thing kids are doing these days... "Taking blood." I didn't immediately make the connection to medical school and drawing blood! Haha.

How much blood is being drawn?

I went thru school and did the same. As long as everyone is using clean supplies, proper hand hygiene, correct use of safeties, its fine. The amount of blood in one of those little tubes is 3.5 to 4 ml when completely full. Its such a small amount its really no big.

Why wouldn’t it be safe? I’m in the medical field and I practiced on my pregnant friend all the time in class it’s no different than having your blood taken from your doctors orders. I had blood taken when I found I was pregnant every other day because I was having complications for the first 5 months. I’m 35 weeks pregnant and he’s just fine.
