How long is a woman (ideally) pregnant for?

Apparently women argue about this a lot. It's the argument of 4 weeks in a month, and pregnancy is 40 weeks, 40÷4=10 months; vs. months having 30-31 days (minus February), therefore putting pregnancy at just a few days over 9 months. So, what do you think? 9 months, or 10?
For those of you who want to know, I voted 9 months, because those 2-3 extra days in a month add up. When the individual days are added up, it's just over 9 months, but no where near 10 months. 10 months seems like lazy math to me 🤷‍♀️

Per my doctor, its actually 10mos but typically women don’t find out until they are 4 wks. But from there it is 9 full mos

The average month has 30 days. 4 weeks is 28 days. 
40 weeks = 280 days. 
9 months = 270 days
10 months = 300 days
It's closer to being 9 months. Technically 9.33 months.

Pregnancy is usually counted from the end of your last period, but the first two weeks or so of the “pregnancy” aren’t any different from a non pregnant cycle. 
I know I conceived in the middle of October this time, and baby is due any day now, which comes to just under nine months. 
My first baby was conceived at the beginning of July and born at the end of March. Again, just under nine months.

It depends. Many women are pregnant well after 40 weeks but usually they induce you. If induction wasn’t around many more women would pass 40 weeks too
