My Dr scheduled a 36 week Ultrasound?

Question

I had an OB appointment today and my Dr scheduled a 36 week ultrasound to check for growth. 
They never did this with my first two so curious if anyone else is having a scan around this time?

I’m having one at 37 wks as well. I think with my first and different doctor that he did one at 36 and also checked amniotic fluid level

I’m having one on Thursday and I’ll be 36 weeks. Call your doctor and ask why.

I'm 33 weeks and having a growth scan in 2 days. My reason is because I have asthma and take medication for it, so they want to make sure she's growing okay. With my first I had one around this time because I measured a little small at one appointment. It probably just depends on the doctor and individual circumstances. I don't think ultrasounds after the 20 week growth scan are ever routine though.

I believe I will have one then also. I had one at 33 weeks and they said they’ll do another at 35/36 weeks. I have my 35 week appointment Friday so guessing they’ll schedule it then.

yes. I got in in 9 days for it.  I never had it with my daughter either but different ob, different decsions Im okay with it though since I have only had 1 ultrasound my whole pregnancy

I have one at 36 weeks to check for growth my daughter was almost six pounds at 5 weeks early. They just wanna see how big he is.

It’s standard at my practice. To make sure baby is head down and guess their size.
