Does anybody get anxiety when they hear fireworks?

I’ve always liked the look of fireworks but lately when I’m not looking at them and only hearing them in my house I feel very anxious like as if they’re gun shots and I hate how loud they are... anyone else or am I just crazy?

I only get anxiety now because I'm afraid it'll wake my son and he won't sleep.

I live in a not so great area, so around 4th of July we always have to ask ourselves if it’s gun shots or fireworks bc it honestly could be either 😳😳 I do have a little ptsd from my childhood so they do freak me out a little

Yes they really bother me and I cannot do what I normally do if I know there will be a lot of fireworks going on. I don’t even think they look mice. They’re just colorful dots in the sky to me. I’d rather look at stars. Fireworks are harmful in more ways than one and are all around just unnecessary.
