Would you rather know for sure if you were pregnant or just never test?

I think I’m pregnant. Last time I had these symptoms I was pregnant and miscarried 3 days later. If I hadn’t taken a test I would have just thought my period was late. I’m scared to take a test because I’m scared to lose another baby. Would you rather know for sure if you were pregnant or just never test?

I would test so you can be seen by a doctor sooner and they would see you more because youve had a previous miscarriage

My dr actually recommended not testing until I’m 2 weeks late, past the point of it being a chemical pregnancy. I knew before my missed period, then had a miscarriage and needed a d&c; at 9 weeks. I have major depressive disorder, and it really messed me up. So I’m going to take her advice when we try again and not test until 2 weeks late.

I've thought about this a lot, wish right now I never knew. instead I'm just feeling miserable and waiting two weeks to confirm what I already know.

I would want to know so they can go ahead and start hormone testing and make sure there’s not something they need to do

I would want to know. Otherwise I'd spend forever wondering if I lost another baby or not... Also sometimes its good to have doctor guidance through miscarriages because then its on your medical record and also if anything goes wrong and the miscarriage doesn't complete like usual then things can be treated and you can recover. I have heard of some women having a miscarriage and bleeding for like a months straight and needing a D&C; because they retained some tissue that was causing extra bleeding and can actually cause an infection in the uterus as well. So, for many many reasons, both medical and emotional, I would take a test so I know for sure. It will be hard if it is positive and then you lose it again but it will be good to know for sure instead of wondering. Theres also a possibility that it could be positive and baby grows normally and healthy! Or it could just be a late period. You'll always wonder if you dont take a test.
