1yr since Announced/6mo since her death

Today marks 1yr since we announced our pregnancy with Mallory & that we would be losing our independence in December 2017.

We were so excited & nervous about becoming parents.

Fast forward to 12/17/17 she was born perfect & healthy. At 6 days old she developed a fever & was diagnosed with Hsv type 1. She died 6mo ago on 01/04/18 in my arms.

Last year we lit pink sparklers as we announced such a happy moment so we decided tonight to light pink sparklers in her memory. Out therapist mentioned that we need to continue making new traditions & incorporating Mallory into them. One day hopefully her brother/sister will be here asking why we light pink sparklers every year & that’s when we will say it’s to remember your beautiful sister Mallory.

I hate that these are the type of things we are doing instead of just loving our sweet girl here & celebrating so many firsts with her. 💔😢
