Does this promote Infeldilty?

Question

I know a couple where the man cheated repeatedly finally his wife couldn't take it and she divorced him. 3 years later he says God has changed him and she says God helped her forgive and they remarried. They have started up a ministry where they are doing a series on how to repair marriages. I think it's great they can keep thier family together however the Church we come from has alot of adultery within the members. I wonder if them promoting getting back together will cause some people to cheat because the marriage will survive because the D's are here to help us get back. I don't what do you think ?

If someone wants to cheat, they’ll cheat. If someone wants to stay with a cheater, they’ll stay. It’s always a personal decision, and people will always find reasons or excuses for that behaviour.

Based upon your other post about what you see will affect you.  The only thing I can say to you is:  FIND A NEW CHURCH .... period.  
If this is what you’re coming away with from your church, it’s time to move on.  
Don’t worry about what THAT church is doing.  Let them worry about it and let God deal with it. 
Focus on what you are being subjected to in the Spirit in align yourself with a new church that shepherds it’s people in the Spirit.

Well ... the church is supposed to filled with sinners since no one is free from sin, correct? If anything the church is saying that God forgives and you can turn from a sinful lifestyle, not that it’s okay to cheat or whatever. 
The fact is ... you don’t know what people are really dealing with, what “sins” they are really committing. You only see the tip of the iceberg ... someone could be suffering from addiction, stealing from their family, sexual things ... who really knows. But that is what the church and God is for. To be that support to help you change ... 
(I am no longer religious, but I did grow up Christian/LDS. I still occasionally go to church because I enjoy it, especially my sister’s mega church.)

I hope people would care more about their marriages then to risk cheating. Just because one couple gets back together doesn't mean it's a guarantee that things will work out in the end.

Breaking something on purpose just because you think you can fix it is a terrible idea. I'm sure some people might use it as an excuse for themselves but most people don't think before having an affair they just do it.

I think one relationship and their success or lack of success with getting back together and forgiveness isn’t going to stop someone or start infidelity. I think it will be down to the specific relationship, then communicating, and them being faithful. I don’t think it will encourage infidelity more than it has already been happening. People having affairs, getting away with it and continuing to do so might have more of an influence. This is the opposite. This relationship ended and years later they were able to build up trust. I think their story might possibly help some, but I still believe it’s up to the couples themselves to change. Not just some other couple.
