Is this Bad Parenting or a Good Patenting ?

Question

So talking about infidelity brings me to this. There is a man who had. affair with the Church's sweetheart (the Church I was raised at she was the girl everybody loved and liked) and she got pregnant. The child is alive and is about three years old BUT this child is never seen. 
    The father never brings him to Church or children's festivals at the Church. The Grandmother never brings the child. On facebook there has not been a post with this child in it on the mother's, grandmother's, sister's or anybody else's page and I'm Facebook friends with them so it would have came on my wall. However she has a daughter baby Z and this child is everywhere, you would never know  there was a little boy. 
Some would say they are protecting the child since he is a product of a affair and some would say they hide the child because they are ashamed. Do you think it's good parenting to hide a Child while proudly showing the other off ?

That boy is going to grow up with a complex since his sister is shown off and taken everywhere. That hurts my heart for him :(

If they do this in public I couldn't imagine what they do to this child behind doors. 
Id call cps and say that the child is never seen and you think something bad might be occuring.

Well based on the other posts, it doesn’t seem like anyone is ashamed to be having affairs so what reason is there to hide the child? What is going on in your church 😳

This is awful. You do not hide a child(or more-so exclude a child) just because you’re ashamed. None of what happened is the child’s fault. They should face the choices they made and show the child they are every bit as loved and part of the family.

That is weird. Where is this kid when everyone is at church or wherever? Alone at home?

It’s not that child’s fault that he was conceived from an affair. Seeing that his sibling is shown off is only going to make him feel worthless and confused. Horrible parenting. They made the mistake to not use protection, but don’t make a mistake by ruining an innocent child’s life

That’s a bit strange, but it leads to questions
1- is there some sort of agreement between mother and father of the boy that says no photos on social media? (I know some co-parents make that choice)
2- in the same vein is there something about not bringing him around the church? Although that really does suck- if they are still super involved in the church, the child should be involved too! 
All in all, quite a strange situation and probably very unfair to the little boy.

If no one has seen or heard from this child in a while then perhaps it’s time to call cps. There could be something very serious going on in this household.
