Kyleena placement

I just got my IUD placed yesterday!! Woo!! I’m so excited for what’s to come!

I still have some questions that have been coming up in the past day (a little over 24 hrs since it was placed) and I was hoping someone on here had some answers for me!!

1: my period started on Wednesday (yeah the 4th of July - yay 😒) the IUD was placed on Friday (yesterday) and my period bleeding has already gone down a lot - my period normally lasts for 6 days but this is only day 4

HAS THIS HAPPENED TO ANYONE

2: how long does the cramping truly last for?
